Yet, Juliette Gordon Low didn’t let that stop her, especially when she decides to bring the Scouting movement from Great Britain to girls in her hometown of Savannah, Ga., and throughout the United States. Daisy believed that girls could do anything, and Girl Scouts have been proving that she was right for 100 years.

March 12, 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of Girl Scouts in the United States.
