Voices from the Gaps features North American women writers of color. The site can be searched by author name, birthplace, ethnic background. Voices provides a great list of authors to try and some have additional information on their lives and writing, along with bibliographies of other sources and links. The page was created at the University of Minnesota.
African American Literature Book Club
African American Literature Book Club is a page highlighting a wide variety and depth of Black literature from novelists to poets. It has nice biographical information on some authors. The AALBC does sell books and is affiliated with Barnes and Nobles.
QBR: The Black Book Review offers current reviews, interview of Black fiction and nonfiction. It includes children's books.
Black Experience in Fiction features both black and non-black authors like Harper Lee writing popular and literary fiction. The list is maintained by the Irving Texas Public Library.
