  • GetSet4K.org – Getset4k.org is a service of the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County. It offers a month by month guide to school readiness and a parent's checklist to prepare your child for Kindergarten.

  • Baby & Toddler Read Alouds – Take a peek at some of the great books we have! Share a book at bedtime, naptime or any time that's the right time for you and your child.

  • Family Read Aloud Club – This program invites parents to read aloud to their children during the school year. The aim of the program is two-fold: for families to spend quality time together and to promote lifelong literacy.

  • Getting your child to read – Recommendations to help you support your child's emerging reading skills, and keep these skills developing as your child grows.

  • Storytime

    • Baby & Me – Storytime program designed for ages birth to 18 months plus parent/caregiver. This includes songs and other activities that are age appropriate.
    • Tiny Tots – Storytime program designed for ages 18 to 36 months plus parent/caregiver. This includes songs and other activities that are age appropriate.
    • Born to Read – a program for ages birth to 36 months plus the parent/caregiver. This includes songs and other activities that are age appropriate.
    • Books-N-More – a program for children ages 3-5 plus the parent/caregiver. This includes songs, games and other activities that are age appropriate.
    • Family Night @ the Library – a program for the entire family. This program has lots of fun things for a family to do together.
