Lunch Poems Listen or watch online poetry readings and discussions with contemporary poets at the Berkeley Lunch Poems programs. In 20011-12 school year the series has explored poetry in translation. Poets Louise Gluck and Richard Berengarten will be talking about their work in the spring of 2012. The last program of the school year will be the much anticipated student readings.

Poetry 180 Billy Collins devised this web page of poetry for teens. It has a poem for each day of school. It is fun to type a number in to the box and see what random poem will come up to ponder. He does have an about page with tips for teachers wanting to incorporate poems.

Poetry Slam Inc What is a slam? " Simply put, poetry slam is the competitive art of performance poetry. It puts a dual emphasis on writing and performance, encouraging poets to focus on what they're saying and how they're saying it." Poetry Slam Inc has guidelines for hosting a poetry event. KCPL owns several books too.

Poetry Daily With over a thousand poetry collections published every year, how do you find new poets to read? Poetry Daily steps up and shares a new poem every day. They pull from books, journals and more to share a wide array of English language poetry. Users can also search through previous poems as well. You can now follow Poetry Daily on Twitter as well.

Poetry Everywhere Clips from the PBS series show poets at work and look at classic poetry. The show host is Garrison Keillor. Poets include Seamus Heany, Ted Kooser, Rita Dove and many more.

Oxford Book of English Verse 1250-1900 Wander through the pages of this classic collection of poetry. Users can select poetry by time period, author name or title. You can also search for specific poems.

Representative Poetry Online Like the Oxford collection, the University of Toronto has created a searchable database of older classic poems.

Poetry Society of America Since the 1930s, the Society has encouraged poets through its poetry competitions and work to keep poetry in the public eye. The Society now has poetry podcasts.

Poets.org From the Academy of American Poets comes Poets.org, users can listen to poetry readings online, find poems for a wedding, sign up to be emailed poems, learn how to improve the poems you write and so much more!

Poetry-Portal The Portal is a resource for poetry writers with links to educational resources, competitions and a wide variety of tools and links for the poet.

United States of Poetry Based on the award winning PBS series this site looks at poetry by themes including Day in the life, the American dream, etc.

Children's Poetry Archive Kids can read poems online or listen to children's poets read their work. Kids can interact with the top and bottom of the homepage and open the egg, shake the tree, spin the fish, etc.

Giggle Poetry Kids can read funny poems about school, family, animals and more. Users can also learn to write their own poems.
